May 07 - Rocky seen receiving his cash, at the May 2007 "$5000 Hong Kong NT Pool Marathon"

Rocky Lane adds another chunk of change to his treasure chest, seen above receiving his $5000 cash award from Tournament Judge Trevor Langford (left), plus the Marathon Trophy.

Rocky, winning the "$5000 250 Rack Hong Kong NT Pool Marathon", in May 2007, left the second place getter 105 racks behind him, in a playing field of 20  competitors. This 50 hour Pool Marathon, held during the month of May 2007 on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights, started out with a winning mark of 150 racks. But as Rocky already won the 150 racks shortly after the first week, while the others were trying to get passed 50.  Other players, asked Marathon organizers for the  goal posts be moved ahead by 100 racks to 250. They also asked that they be allowed to start early at 6pm each night, while Rocky starts late at 9pm, giving other players a 3 hour start each day. Rocky simply replied "whatever" and went on to win the 250 racks by the 3rd week in this four week long Marathon. " No Rock, you cant say you were just  lucky ,as you normally do. This was a landslide victory. This was not  a match. It was  outright slaughter ", says tournament Judge , Trevor Langford. Next stop, for Rocky, is the Us$500,000 World Pool Summit at Las Vegas, USA, all going well.
